As a hidden paradise, Holiday Cottage Resort aims to offer the ultimate privacy, and yet attentive to fulfill every guest’s wish.
In previous years, the entire island of Koh Kood would basically close down for the raining season between June and mid October and the speedboat and ferry companies did not run during those months. However, this year it appears that at least one of the ferry companies is going to carry people to Koh Kood on a dialy basis during the low season as well.
This will result in the Koh Kood Resort being able to keep it's doors open for business the entire year! The mostly likely customers during this period will be weekend trippers from Bangkok and other parts of Thailand, but if guests would like to stay at the resort during the week, we will welcome them with open arms. Remember though: only the power ferry will sail during these months and if there are extreme weather or sea conditions, they may sometimes have to skip a day.
Also note that during the low season different rules apply for reservations. For instance: it will be possible to book our 3 days / 2 nights nature lover package (with possible extension days), but because our restaurant will be the only in the area that will be open and we kneed to know exactly how much food we need to get from the fisherman village and / or the mainland, so you can also book the bungalow (with breakfast) only rate with 50% discount and give us a head up on what your general taste in foods are. The Romantic getaway package will not be available during the low season.
Furthermore, unlike the details written on our getting to Koh Kood page, will we only be able to provide pickup from the S.A hotel in downtown Trat at 12:00, to make it to the 13:00 departure of the fast ferry boat . When arriving on Ko Kood, the ferry will not be able to dock on our own pier, so we will have to send a car to pick you up from Ao Salat port on the North West of Koh Kood island or at another large concrete pier on Koh Kut. The charge for this pickup is 500 baht per car. Also know that both of our sister resorts in the same bay will probably be closed during the rain season, so your stay may be somewhat of a solitairy experience, as there may not be any, or very few, other guests nearby. Between the sea, the snorkeling trip or waterfall trip (depending on the weather conditions) which is included in the nature lover package, the bungalow, the restaurant with it's skeleton staff, and a good book, you probably won't get to see or do much else. On the upside: the layout of our Bang Boa Bay protects swimmers and kayakers from possible dangerous wheather and / or sea conditions that will affect other, less protected, beaches on Koh Kood and Koh Chang. We also expect to be able to run air conditioners, the central Satellite TV and the Satelliet internet set with WiFi 24 hours per day, since the consumption from the other resorts will be low, thus being able to rely on the power generated by the government, rather then having to run our diesel generators.
We are located facing clear crystal warm seawater, the bungalow offer one comfortable bed room with individually controlled air-conditioning, two 5ft x 6.5ft queen beds, standard guest amenities, one bathroom with cold shower and private balcony.
